Principal of Concord since 2005, Mr Hawkins is responsible for the strategy, education, regulatory compliance, marketing and development of this vibrant and highly academic international college. He has overseen the significant growth of Concord and a dynamic building programme whilst redefining the ethos and aims of the college to place a greater emphasis on a holistic approach to education. During his tenure as Principal at Concord, the college has become one of the top performing schools in the UK has achieved consistently high school league table positions for A level and GCSE. Educated at Brentwood School and Cambridge University, where he studied History, Mr Hawkins has an extensive knowledge of the UK Education system in a career spanning 30 years with positions of significant responsibility at The Leys (Director of studies), Sevenoaks (Head of History) and Cranleigh (Head of History & Assistant Housemaster). Described as an educational visionary, his interest in philosophy has informed his practice as an inspirational teacher and leader.
