Mr Lawrence, Vice Principal (Academic) joined Concord in 1989 as an English teacher. He later became Head of English, Director of Studies before being promoted to his current position as Vice Principal (Academic) with responsibility for the academic management at Concord. He was also Director of Studies at Concord’s Summer School for 8 years. He studied History at King’s College London before entering the teaching profession. In a teaching career spanning 40 years Mr Lawrence has taught around the world in Japan, Sweden, Papua New Guinea, Sierra Leone and Spain in a variety of schools before settling in Shropshire. He has travelled extensively representing the college at education events and recruiting students in Concord’s key markets including China. Mr Lawrence has an unparalleled knowledge of the UK education and examination system including expertise in UCAS.
